Chiswick & The English Civil War

With huge thanks to the festival team and its amazing volunteers. Thanks also to the Theatre at the Tabard for hosting Julian Humphrys and I in discussion. It was great to be talking about the English Civil War, the 1642 battles of Brentford and Turnham Green, and the journey from Army to author.

But most of all, thank you to all those who joined us. It was a full house and brilliant audience – on such a hot Sunday. I am overwhelmed by the interest in the talk. And in God’s Vindictive Wrath. It made for a great Q&A session, packed signing and Battlefields Trust walk afterwards. It was very good to meet and chat with so many interested readers.

I feel really chuffed to have been part of this great festival – helping to support the vital work of its reading charities: Read for Good, Koestler Arts and Read Easy Ealing.

God’s Vindictive Wrath is available in Waterstones Chiswick and Hounslow Libraries.
